1994年獲日本國東京農(nóng)工大學工學博士。兼任四川大學、山東輕工業(yè)學院兼職教授。日本皮革技術(shù)協(xié)會理事、中日皮革工業(yè)協(xié)會科技委員會委員。
    長期從事高分子液晶合成及材料的研究開發(fā)工作。近年在生物高分子材料膠原方面取得創(chuàng)造性成果，受到日本皮革技術(shù)的高度評價。在國內(nèi)發(fā)表學術(shù)論文50余篇，出版著作一部，指導多名博士碩士研究生，并與日本著名大學、研究機構(gòu)建立密切的科研合作關(guān)系。
