1981年畢業于西北工業大學材料系，1994年在西安交通大學獲博士學位，1996-1997年在日本大阪大學接合科學研究所做博士后工作。2001年起任北京工業大學教授。兼任中國焊接學會力學及結構制造專業委員會委員。獲省部級科技進步獎3項，目前承擔973國家重大基礎研究、北京市自然科學基金等項目。在國內外學術刊物上發表論文50余篇。
